What is GSM and OZ? How to conver the OZ to GSM? GSM (also known as gm/2) = grams per square meter and is the metric measurement of the weight of a fabric. Metric measurements are generally the most common place but some clothing items are still marked in Imperial weights (OZ or oz/yd2 = ounces per yard squared) How to convert the OZ to GSM · OZ below refer to Ounces/Square Yard (Should technically be wrote OZ/SQ YD). Just using OZ is technically incorrect, but it is very common.· G below refers to Grams/Square Meter (Should technically be wrote GSM or gsm).
